The best-known representative of an artificial light source – the classical light bulb – can be found in every home. The entertainment industry also uses tungsten halogen lamps with much smaller glass bulbs made of quartz glass. They are filled with a mixture of inert gases and halogen, which prevents the bulb from being blackened. The result is a higher light output and much longer lamp life.
