Eching, Germany, September 2006 – Sachtler’s new Cine tripod, which comes in long and medium versions, will celebrate its European premiere at IBC 2006. Sachtler sees in the tripod a worthy successor to its popular Cine 2000. The Cine’s innovative construction features are sure to satisfy operators’ demands for heavy duty tripods in film and HD applications. The Cine 150 long has a maximum height of 176 cm / 69.3", while the Cine 150 medium can reach a maximum of 88 cm / 34.6".
The clamps used to fix the tripod legs’ heights are now considerably larger and easier to use. This is especially practical in icy temperatures, where operators can now loosen and tighten the clamps easily without removing their gloves. Significantly larger spikes further improve tripod stability on uneven and/or soft ground. In addition the tripod legs’ stiffness can be set – tool-free – using levers at the tripod. A spreader and mid-level spreader as well as the Dolly Cine are available as optional accessories.
