Eching, July 2009 – Sachtler, a Vitec Group brand, announces major purchases by large television networks in Poland and Turkey. Polish TV network TVP standardizes on Sachtler for camera support.

This past spring, Polish television network TVP ordered 31 Sachtler Video 18 SB fluid heads along with Sachtler carbon fiber tripods, and three Systems 25 C III (Video 25 Plus fluid head and the C III Pedestal). TVP, with its headquarters in Warsaw as-well-as 16 local affiliates, provides eight television channels, including one in high definition. This latest order from the TVP network follows on the heels of 57 Sachtler systems purchased last year and 77 in 2007, including 56 Video 18 SB Systems. With this latest purchase, all of TVP´s studio and field production teams are equipped with Sachtler camera support equipment. Standardizing on Sachtler means that camera operators now benefit from the efficiency of using standard, interchangeable Sachtler camera support equipment. A second advantage is that the network´s maintenance personnel are experiencing lower service costs eminating from their need to keep a smaller spare parts inventory. 

Professional Sachtler lights for news studios in Turkey

Ninety Sachtler Topas 220TM lighting fixtures were sold to light three news studios of a large turkish television station. The station pointed to the extremely consistent light distribution and good color rendering in purchasing the Sachtler fixtures. The Topas lighting is ideal for television studios because they draw considerably less electrical power and generate very little heat. This not only saves energy powering the lights themselves, but also has resulted in a reduced need for studio air conditioning. The Topas 220TM can be controlled via DMX, and the fluorescent tubes operate absolutely flicker-free. The Topas 220TM fixtures will be delivered with four 55W fluorescent tubes and a pole operated yoke. The Turkish station´s decision to buy Sachtler Topas lights was made on the basis of their outstanding quality, and an overall great price-benefit ratio.
