Eching, August 2008 – Sachtler, a Vitec Group brand, takes social responsibility seriously by continuously supporting selected non-commercial projects with camera support, reporter lighting, or financial means. 

Sachtler, a Vitec Group brand, sets great store on corporate social responsibility. Up-to-date equipment has been sent to Herat in Afghanistan, to help with the establishment of an independent TV station for educational television. This spring, Sachtler also supported BaanGerda project, which offers a new home to HIV infected orphans in Thailand. For this project, a documentary was filmed using Sachtler equipment. "Every company has a social responsibility", says Sandra Rademacher, marketing assistant for Sachtler, "we are conscious of this and therefore carefully select and sponsor different organizations."

Cooperation with film universities
Sachtler shows it is also socially engaged, by concerning itself with the promotion of young people from the film industry. Educational support for school such as the Cologne technical college, the ARD.ZDF media academy, the HFF in Munich and the film college in Vienna is a high priority for Sachtler. Sachtler also routinely donates the use of production equipment to the Medienwerkstatt Leipzig. This facility makes it possible for children and young people to produce media work and arranges for them to have competence in media.
