Sachtler, Camera Dynamics is proud to have received the Government Video Salute award for the new FSB 6 fluid head and revolutionary FSB CELL at GV Expo Nov. 15-16, 2007, at the Washington Convention Center in Washington, DC.   

Sachtler’s new FSB 6 fluid head, designed for MiniDV and (H)DV offers low mass cameras the same smooth pan and tilt movement that operators have enjoyed with larger camera packages on Sachtler’s heavy-duty fluid heads. FSB 6 is engineered especially to support payloads from 2.2 to 13.2 lbs (1 to 6 kg).

When combined with Sachtler’s revolutionary FSB CELL, a new concept in battery design, the new fluid head becomes a real powerhouse. This 10.5 AH lithium rechargeable camera battery, which fits directly below the camera, provides 8 hours of shooting time to new generation compact DV and (H)DV camcorders.

The awards were presented by NewBay Media's Government Video Magazine for the best new and innovative products in the professional video industry. The Salute Awards focus on products that are particularly appealing to the government video marketplace. To be eligible for a Salute, products must have been new and on display at GVExpo for the first time.

The FSB 6 fluid head and the FSB CELL also received three prestigious awards at NAB this year: the TV Technology Star Award, the Videography Vidy Award and the DV Black Diamond Award (FSB 6).
