Sachtler ™
A Vitec Group brand
The Sachtler Academy, well-known within the media industry for its workshops on professional lighting and camera operation, has now launched an Internet site specifically aimed at the film and TV branches in the Middle East. Visitors under www.sachtler-academy.com can find web pages brimming with information and offers of particular interest to Arab customers.
Eching, 29 May 2007 – For the Sachtler Academy, the CABSAT congress was a huge success. The academy introduced its multi-facetted workshop program there, attracting great interest from Arab visitors. The positive response has now led the academy to expand its engagement – into the virtual world of the Middle East. A website specifically designed for Arab Internet users under www.sachtler-academy.com provides detailed information about our workshop program. “Our Academy workshops have uncovered a gap in the market. We have never before seen such outstanding workshop opportunities within the Arab world. Sachtler is now in the process of gaining a presence in Dubai, and our workshops will enable us to establish the Academy there. Our websites are an initial step that provides Arabs interested in our workshops with information about the Academy,” explains Marion Ahrensfeld, who is in charge at the Academy.
Academy in Arabic
As soon as they open the Academy’s home page, the Academy logo welcomes visitors in Arabic. Without delay, users are linked to the Arab website, where they can find the contact details of Ahmad Nana’a, their contact person in the Arab world. The workshop program is available as a download in both Arabic and English. Visitors to the website can also answer an online questionnaire in Arabic that asks media representatives for their expectations with regards to seminar content. This enables Academy organizers to gauge what Arab media representatives want from our workshops, allowing us to conceive training seminars that target participants’ interests.
Cooperation with a future
Our discussions with studio operators and dealers have shown that they are extremely interested in cooperation. The first cooperative projects and partnerships have already begun, and the first workshops are soon to take place. “The web pages in the Internet are a further step towards intensifying our cooperation with our Arab friends and colleagues. These days every professional in the world realizes that the only way to stay ahead of competition is to constantly keep up with the latest technical and technological innovations and trends. A smooth exchange of information with colleagues is crucial to this, making the Academy’s web pages the perfect platform,” adds Marion Ahrensfeld.
