artemis DV Pro – the vertical starter

The artemis DV Pro is specially designed for professional MiniDV and (H)DV cameras, and offers the same excellence as the larger
artemis EFP, artemis EFP Pro, artemis Cine and artemis Cine HD systems. Functionality and quality are the foremost priorities. Curt Schaller, developer of the system and himself a camera operator, comments: “Lightweight cameras are increasingly used in film and TV productions because of growing cost pressures. For this reason, professional operators should be able to benefit from the same technical features they expect from larger stabilizing systems.”

Today, ENG is becoming increasingly competitive, with growing demands for precision, speed and image diversity and – at the same time – lower production costs. Here, the artemis DV Pro offers a host of features that make all of this possible:

  • Optimized dimensions and lightweight construction
  • Compact modular design (the system is completely dismountable and can later be upgraded with more advanced modules)
  • No-tool adjustment of the side-to-side-module
  • No-tool telescopic center post
  • No-tool self-centering, high-precision gimbal
  • No-tool monitor bracket that holds a 7" (17.8 cm) 16:9 4:3, Pal/NTSC TFT Monitor
  • No-tool lower sled with finely adjustable dynamic balance
  • 12V and 24V operation, HD RGB and HD SDI signal processing all possible
  • Battery bracket for Anton/Bauer, PAG and Sony V-Mount
  • Back-mounted vest
  • Spring arm with exchangeable spring sets for cameras from 1.5 to 9.5 kg (3.3 to 20.9 lb)

With all these features, the artemis DV Pro perfectly complements the rest of the artemis range, which includes:

  • artemis EFP – the broadcast system for EFP and ENG operators who use SD video cameras and 16 mm film cameras. Its modular construction means the system can be upgraded right up to the artemis Cine HD.
  • artemis EFP Pro HD SDI – the universal cross-over system for modern day-to-day production. This system enables direct switching of all common HD RGB, HD SDI (up to 3 GHz) and SD signals to the moni-tor. In addition,
    12 V / 24 V switching enables applications that include film
  • cameras to be used with this system.
  • artemis Cine – the classic system for all film and SD video applications satisfies all production
  • demands and camera operator requirements.
  • artemis Cine HD – the state-of-the-art system that features all the functions of the Cine version, in addition to patented internal HD (RGB) wiring and switching.

All models within the artemis family also offer the following unbeatable advantages: they feature modular construction and metric dimensions, are upgradable and therefore future-proof, are fully compatible with
all popular American products and – last but not least – are “Made in Germany”!
