ECHING, IBC 2008 / cinec 2008  – SOOM, the multifunctional camera support tool from Sachtler, a Vitec Group brand, can be tested at IBC and cinec 2008.

At IBC 2008 and the cinec 2008, everyone can test the flexibility and various capabilities of the SOOM, at the Sachtler booths (9.C40 and/or 3-D20). The compact SOOM XL System consists of the SOOM TriPod, the SOOM TriSpread (usable as a mini tripod and a mini spreader) and the SOOM tube (Monopod) three products, four application possibilities. It’s modularity and light weight, 5.8kg enables the SOOM to capture not only event, documentary and advertising filming, but also work allows cameramen to work single handedly. SOOM, which was introduced exactly one year ago onto the market, at the IBC 2007, received five honours at the NAB 2008 as well as a lot of praise, in various practice tests from cameramen and technical magazines.

At IBC test units "experts" tell of their experiences with SOOM. For individual hands on there are not only the individual modules from SOOM available, this tool can be also combined with the "Works with SOOM" products from Sachtler:  FSB 2, FSB 6, FSB CELL, Reporter 8LED. The possibility for hands on exists at the Sachtler stand daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
