ECHING, May 2007 - Sachtler proudly presented the FSB 2 and FSB 6 fluid heads at NAB where they received three prestigious awards: the TV Technology Star Award, the Videography Vidy Award and the DV Black Diamond Award (FSB 6). The design of the new F-series Series heads for MiniDV and HDV camcorders is based on the SPEEDBALANCE technology (SB) used on Sachtler´s renowned larger fluid head systems.

The new FSB 2 and FSB 6 fluid heads are the first on the market to support payloads from 0 to 2 kg/0 to 4.4 lbs (FSB 2) and 1 to 6 kg/2.2 to 13.2 lbs (FSB 6) and feature the Sachtler sideload Snap & Go mechanism. In addition, the FSB 6 is the only head in its range to feature 10-step counterbalance, while the FSB 2 offers a 2-step counterbalance setting of 0 and 1.

The heads provide three dampening steps in both pan and tilt directions, as well as a zero setting, which deactivates dampening. The FSB 6 is available with either a Snap & Go sideload S plate or with the classic Touch & Go camera plate. The Snap & Go sideload technology offers an ample 120mm/4.7'' sliding range, allowing the operator to center the camera systemís c.g. on the head. Sachtler´s design team made no compromises and employed many of the same award-winning engineering principles of the larger heads when developing the FSB 2 and FSB 6.

The right combo: FSB 2 / FSB 6 and FSB CELL
When combined with Sachtlerís revolutionary new FSB CELL the fluid heads become real powerhouses. This 10.5 AH lithium rechargeable camera battery, which fits directly below the camera, provides 8 hours of shooting time, ensuring maximal flexibility on the set. In addition, FSB CELL incorporates the Sachtler Snap & Go camera attachment system into its top and bottom surfaces for sure and easy connection between the camera and FSB 2 or FSB 6. When teamed with the FSB CELL, the sliding range of the camera set-up is extended even further to 225mm/8.6" for optimal balance.
