Eching, February 2011 – The Reporter LED by Sachtler, a Vitec Group brand, now offers even higher light output than the previous model. The robust camera light is steplessly dimmable and available as a daylight or a tungsten version. Equipped with innovative LED technology, the Reporter LED is very durable and much more efficient than comparable halogen lamps.

With the Reporter LED, Sachtler has developed a particularly robust reporter light that wins over users with its high light output. Its input power of only 8 watts delivers an impressive 337 lumens. The camera light is steplessly dimmable, with only a minimum change in color temperature.  With an input voltage range of 6 to 24 volts, the compact Reporter LED is used primarily in the ENG field. An especially practical feature is the removable and 45°-rotatable 4-leaf barndoor with its quick release clamp that makes the change of optics easier. The Reporter LED comes with a Wide Reflector. Optionally, a Spot Reflector is also available.

Daylight and tungsten version

The camera light is available in a daylight or a tungsten version. Since it makes use of only one LED module, it can be easily substituted with a daylight or a tungsten module; moreover it doesn't cause multiple shadows. The package includes a double joined bracket with which the light can be optimally positioned on the camera. The Reporter LED can either be fixed to the camera using a ¼“ threaded screw or a shoe for camera mount. Of course, the reporter light features inverse polarity protection as well as over/low voltage protection.

Full range of accessories

A full range of accessories such as the Mini Croco Clamp and the Extension Arm is available for the versatile Reporter LED. The combination of the FSB range of fluid heads and the innovative FSB CELL battery with the Reporter LED makes a strong team for mobile reporting work. The camera light is "Made in Germany."
