Eching, Germany, July 2008 – Last year's Wendelin Sachtler Academy "Basic Camera Stabilizing Systems" workshop in Moscow was so successful that the Academy, in cooperation with its partner DNK, will once again offer the workshop. Scheduled for October 20-24 of this year, the focus of the five-day Moscow meeting will be on the basics of camera stabilizing and the exchange between filmmakers from all over the world.

Part one of the workshop will concentrate on a theoretical introduction to the physics of camera stabilization and a presentation of the entire range of Sachtler's  artemis camera stabilizing system. The presentation will also feature the practical application of this equipment. One item on the agenda is a lesson in the professional adjustment of the artemis vest and spring arm. In addition, there will be emphasis on techniques for achieving well-balanced shots. The training program will be rounded out by exercises, customized to the participants’ needs.

Global workshop programme


The Moscow workshop will also be an international forum for free exchange of concepts and ideas between the participants. “We have gained new insights, acquaintances, ideas and plans from this event”, said Timur Musaev of DNK, referring to the first workshop in Moscow. These industry-specific discussions will be an important feature part of the second Moscow event.

The price for this four-day seminar is 980,- Euro (plus VAT).
