For the first time the CineShow was held in Turin from 18th to 20th November. Visitors had the opportunity to participate in expert talks and discussions regarding the film and entertainment industry. The Wendelin Sachtler Academy was also present at the CineShow, with a seminar on the artemis camera stabilizing system. The following topics were introduced to the participants:

• Where, why and how is a camera stabilizing system used?
• Functions and adjustment of the system, the spring arm and the vest
• Moving and stepping techniques  
  
• Hands-on with the artemis camera stabilizing system

Two artemis operators, Clemens Treml and Sergio Brighel were in charge of the Academy workshop. Interested participants could get acquainted with the basics of the camera stabilizing system. Many visitors used this opportunity to extensively test the modular Sachtler artemis camera stabilizing system.

The Wendelin Sachtler Academy regularly organizes workshops covering camera stabilizing, photocomposing and HDTV at their Studio in Eching, Munich. The seminars are set up in modules and offered at different levels – basic and advanced.
