During shooting for his new website David Lynch used prosumer and consumer equipment uncompromisingly. He was tremendously fascinated with the DV/HDV workflow. He could easily support the cameras handheld if necessary.  The crew was made up of only a few people. He was able to experiment without limits and to work fast. His enthusiasm for this new way of filmmaking inspired him during production of his latest motion picture INLAND EMPIRE: The filmmaker shot the complete film with DV cameras – the Sony DSR-PD 150 – and with the Sachtler fluid head DV 6 SB. Watching the film clearly shows how he used this new-found artistic freedom to experiment with perspective and viewpoints.
