On January 1, 2007, Sachtler joined a community of strength with five other leading brands from the broadcast industry. Sachtler became a member of the Vitec Group’s new Camera Dynamics Business Unit. Sachtler itself has been a member of the Vitec Group since 1995.

“This association of leading, extremely well-known brands enables us to significantly expand our market presence. Synergies such as a common sales team, the exchange of know-how, and technology transfer, not only help the company to become more efficient, it also delivers significant benefits to customers,” stresses Jürgen Sommer, Director of Brand Management. Examples of this include the cooperation between Sachtler and Petrol in developing the vest for the artemis camera stabilizing systems, and between Sachtler and OConnor in developing the “Snap & Go” sideload mechanism for the Cine 30 HD. Sommer believes this “institutionalized form of bench-marks” is the way of the future: “Right now Camera Dynamics is being distributed for the first time by a joint sales team. The next step is to use this cooperation to strengthen our dealer network and offer enhanced local service and support. In this way, we will continue to offer innovative products and services, and further consolidate the market leadership.”
