The Sachtler team was very pleased with the excellent response at the NAB. In contrast to the fair’s trend – there was a decrease in visitors – Sachtler’s stand at the “NAB Vitec Group Village” attracted even more visitors than last year. At the centre of the visitors’ attention were, of course, Sachtler’s latest products, as team members noted. “A positive effect for Sachtler was that the NAB proved to be not only a “presentation fair” but also a genuine interest in buying also prevailed”, observed Jürgen Sommer, Director of Brand Development, Camera Dynamics.



50 years of Sachtler
The Sachtler team not only presented the latest products but also the new, hot-off-the-press Sachtler catalogue. The innovative 2008 edition, with its combination of magazine and catalogue, marks the beginning of the activities marking the company´s 50th anniversary. Fifty years ago, cameraman Wendelin Sachtler started to develop fluid heads in a small workshop in Munich. Today, Sachtler is a global player, a company which still operates in accordance with its founder’s principles of robust construction, quality and, above all, a focus on filmmakers’ needs. This striving for success was once again encouraged and confirmed by the five awards for product innovation which the Sachtler team took home from the fair.
