Sachtler offers a perspective change at IBC and cinec 2008: SOOM, the multifunctional camera support tool, can be tested with hands on, at the Sachtler booths (9.C40 and/or 3-D20): When filming by hand, the SOOM HiPod system with 250cm maximum height, offers new views – quasi from a birds’ eye view. The compact SOOM HiPod system consists of the SOOM TriPod, the SOOM TriSpread (usable as a mini tripod and a mini spreader) and the SOOM tube (Monopod): three products, four application possibilities. It’s modularity and light weight, 5.8kg enables the SOOM to capture not only event, documentary and advertising filming, but also work allows cameramen to work single handedly.

At test units "experts" tell of their experiences with SOOM. For individual hands on, there are not only the individual modules from SOOM available, this tool can be also combined with the "Works with SOOM products" from Sachtler:  FSB 2,  FSB 6,  FSB CELL, Reporter 8LED. The possibility for Hands on exists at the Sachtler stand daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
