Sachtler proudly unveiled the new FSB 2 and FSB 6 fluid heads for MiniDV/HDV at NAB where they received three prestigious awards: the TV Technology Star Award, the Videography Vidy Award and the DV Black Diamond Award
(FSB 6) - all for outstanding technology. The design principles employed to develop the new F-series heads are based on the highly successful SPEEDBALANCE (SB) technology employed on Sachtler´s larger heads.

The new FSB 2 and FSB 6 fluid heads are the first on the market to support payloads from 0 to 2 kg/0 to 4.4. lbs (FSB 2) and 1 to 6 kg/2.2 to 13.2 lbs (FSB 6) and feature the Sachtler sideload Snap & Go mechanism. In addition, the FSB 6 is the only head in its range to feature 10-step counterbalance, while the FSB 2 offers a 2-step counterbalance setting of 0 and 1. The heads provide three dampening steps in both pan and tilt directions, as well as a zero setting, which deactivates dampening.

Whether you need a quick and easy set-up for ENG and EFP or to perform the perfect pan shooting weddings, documentaries, shorts, etc., the FSB 2 and FSB 6 heads are the ideal solution. When combined with the newly developed Sachtler FSB CELL, the support team becomes a powerful solution. The new FSB CELL is a 10.5 AH lithium rechargeable camera battery, which fits directly below the camera to provide 8 hours of power. This ensures maximal flexibility on the job, so that operators can focus on the shoot instead of worrying about the batteryís runtime. Plus, the FSB CELL conveniently incorporates the Sachtler Snap & Go camera attachment system to its top and bottom surfaces for sure and easy connection between the camera and the head.

The Sachtler FSB 2 and FSB 6 heads will be available in the USA by IBC 2007.
