Do not open before 14th of April: new products at the NAB

It’s only a few days before the 2007 NAB is due to start. When the doors open on the world’s biggest broadcaster exhibition in Las Vegas, everybody in the business would like to be present. Every year, 1,400 exhibitors meet some 105,000 interested visitors from 130 nations. For Las Vegas is the place to see new products, catch up on innovative production methods and take a look at the latest trends, from 14 to 19 April.

Extra for the exhibition: image film and new website presentation
When it comes to sophisticated new products, Sachtler is always present. Sachtler has been represented at the NAB for 27 years and will be exhibiting this year at stand C5923 in the Central Hall, together with the two other companies in the Vitec Group’s Camera Dynamics Business Unit.
As well as its innovative products, Sachtler will be showing its new-look presentation. The new Sachtler website features exciting reports on filming as well as a big range of interesting items for visitors and its latest image film, which will also be running at the exhibition stand, to present a professional overview of its products.

New features for the exhibition: entry-level artemis system

The product developers at Sachtler, Camera Dynamics GmbH have been working hard over the past year, as may be seen from the many new items being shown for the first time at the NAB.
There are a lot of new features in the light rigs for artemis camera stabilizing systems. The artemis DV Pro FX entry-level system will be having its world premiere at the NAB. Not only the youngest member of the artemis family will be delighting visitors: the big boys also have new features. The artemis ACT 2 spring arm, presented for the first time, is even lighter and more stable. With its new pre-tensioning system, the spring tension can be easily adjusted, without any effort, while its optimised bearing makes the arm instantly ready for action.
If you’d like to get your hands on the latest equipment, be sure to visit the stand. At the artemis hands-on, two experienced operators, Billy Parks (USA) and Curt O. Schaller (Germany), will be showing what is important when working with camera stabilizing systems.

Trends at the exhibition: HD keeps the ball moving
According to David K. Rehr, President and CEO of the NAB, the trend towards HDV format continues to grow, not least because all US TV broadcasters must transmit digitally by 2009. This trend is also influencing Sachtler’s product development program. Now, revolutionary products are being launched at the NAB and other coming exhibitions. Their slogan is faster and simpler handling for the best possible pictures! The reliability and high quality standards of Sachtler’s products make life easier for camera operators and help them concentrate on the essentials when on the set: putting creative ideas into practice, simply and with passion.
