This year Sachtler is celebrating its 50th anniversary. Together with its distributors, partners, employees and customers the company officially started into its year of anniversary by presenting at the NAB 2008 trade fair in Las Vegas where the celebrating company was awarded seven much sought-after prizes at a stroke for two of its most innovative products. The camera support tool SOOM was awarded five prizes, the Reporter 8LED won two.

This year Sachtler’s annual product catalogue is an anniversary edition, too. In a picture-filled magazine section international filmmakers and industry experts introduce their personal visions of the future of filmmaking. In addition, since April 2008 Sachtler’s website has also been offering an interesting and variegated collage of stories, congratulations and anecdotes told by Wendelin Sachtler’s contemporaries.
