“The picture was taken in front of the tallest waterfall in Sweden, known as Njupeskär. The rig is a RED Epic together with the Sachtler FSB 6 mounted on a Sachtler Speed Lock 75 CF Tripod.
I choose Sachtler because you get reliability for heavy-duty use in a small package. I would say that the FSB 6 fluid head can carry more weight than it’s supposed to, compared to other brands. In short, you know what you get when you buy a Sachtler… something to count on. Germans are well known for their quality engineering.”

“I really love Sachtler because, to me, it has all the components that are necessary for an ideal tripod. The quality is top notch, it’s easy to use and set up during a shoot where you have to be mobile, and its durability is a must-have in a videographer’s arsenal.”

“The picture was taken by Leng Wen when we were hiking the Great Wall of China for the documentary Road to Tokyo. We were traveling a lot for this project and the altitude and equipment weight was one of the biggest challenges. We needed a good head and light tripod and the Sachtler Ace M was our best option. In moments like this, you thank yourself for choosing a light, reliable setup. We were able to do great camera moves without losing track of our schedule.”

Director Sandra Lee and Director of Photography Cory Ewing using Sachtler in the Brazos River, Mexico.
“For the film, we shot on the Brazos River at the River House Inheritance and used the Sachtler Video 18 S1 with MCF legs. As the director, we needed a system that could move quickly and easily in both interior locations and exterior river locations. We needed a steady and strong support that we wouldn’t be afraid to put in water and could hold strong our RED EPIC camera and heavy Canon zoom lens. The Sachtler System was perfect because of its well-known quality and reliability.”

“Moving through water is very difficult; the equipment has to be robust and lightweight. Once you get into place in the water you’re supporting expensive equipment over water and you need to know that you’re using the best camera support and the Sachtler System is just that.”
